"A Closer Look" runs on giveGreater.org® thru September 2017.

New Haven, CT (October 20, 2016) - The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, the region's charitable endowment and largest grantmaker, announces a new communication series called "A Closer Look" to promote the good work of nonprofits serving The Foundation's 20-town service area. The series is running from October 2016 through September 30, 2017 highlighting different areas of nonprofit services each month on www.giveGreater.org®. The areas will be tied to Foundation issue briefs, which are designed to inform the public about the needs and opportunities throughout Greater New Haven, as well as to broader community events, as applicable. Examples of service areas include: Seniors; Housing and Fuel Assistance; Positive Youth Development; Jobs; Food & Diapers; Land, Sea and Wildlife; Schools and Academic Support; Performing and Visual Arts; Libraries, History and Humanities; during the month of October, nonprofits operating in the Social Justice space and nonprofits providing services and shelter to domestic animals are being highlighted.
