Join us for a Groundwater Approach Presentation in 2023

An online workshop to build a practical understanding of structural racism presented by the Racial Equity Institute.

Join us for the next Groundwater Approach presentation

As part of its ongoing work to advance racial equity throughout the region, The Foundation is offering free community access to The Groundwater Approach, a racial equity workshop that builds an understanding of systemic racism and racial disparities through data and historical analysis.

The Groundwater presentation will be presented by the Racial Equity Institute, an alliance of trainers, organizers and institutional leaders devoted to creating racially equitable organizations and systems.

From the Racial Equity Institute:

The Groundwater presentation is a three-hour introduction to racial equity. In this virtual presentation, organizers from the Racial Equity Institute will use stories and data to present a perspective that racism is fundamentally structural in nature. By examining characteristics of modern-day racial inequity, the presentation introduces participants to an analysis that many find immediately helpful and relevant.

"I deepened my understanding of inequity, which is a core responsibility of everyone as a human."
