Amos L. Smith has many notable achievements as the President and CEO of Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH), including the creation of the Passport to Prosperity™ program. Mr. Smith is a Results Based Accountability (RBA) coach. Prior to CAANH, Amos worked for The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven as a senior Health Program Officer. His responsibilities included serving as the principal investigator and oversaw the New Haven Healthy Start program. In addition to helping launch NHHS 20 years ago, Amos lent two decades of expertise working with men and boys helping establish the fatherhood work in New Haven. He was the 8th recipient of the Prevention Award, given by The Yale Consultation Center for recognition of his work to promote innovative and effective programs for members of the Greater New Haven community.
