Fellowship Place Connects Clients to Work

Fellowship Place's annual Career Development Awards celebration, held in June 2019, recognized clients from the agency's Supported Education, Supported Employment, and Food Service Training programs. Clients were recognized for achievements ranging from starting and successfully completing a certificate program, returning to college, finding employment, and volunteering at local non-profit agencies.

With proper treatment and a wide range of support, people with serious mental illness can maintain their independence and lead productive lives.

On a typical day, Fellowship Place offers this broad support to more than 150 people who visit the campus for meals, case management, and other activities such as working in community gardens courses. Clients can also receive job skills and employment assistance. The career development office annually works with more than 200 individuals.

A recent multi-year grant from The Community Foundation helped Fellowship Place sustain its operations during a time when its state funding was cut.
