The Connecticut Plan to Improve Birth Outcomes includes detailed policy recommendations and priorities to eliminate health disparities related to social inequalities with the goal of lowering the rates of preterm and low-weight births and infant mortality. The plan was developed through a collaboration including: the Governor's Office; Connecticut March of Dimes; New Haven Healthy Start; Connecticut Dept. of Public Health; and over 80 members representative of the several maternal and child health (MCH) stakeholders and initiatives in the state of Connecticut.
